Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort

I think the hotel was beautiful, clean and very economical. I only wished we had booked earlier and asked for a room that was higher than the 2nd floor.

The hotel was nice, the people were very friendly and I will book through them from now on.

This hotel is not located in the most desirable part of the grand strand. It is in the South End, whereas more stores, restaurants, etc. are in the North end. However, the amenities offered at this hotel are so numerous and wonderful that the resort alone is what made our stay so pleasing! The outside of hotel was lovely. But the room was very bad the carpet was torn between kitchen and bedroom I almost fell several times. The toilet set was coming off. They had roach bugs.

I will not stay here again. We never received a change of sheets; one washcloth for four people; door did not shut nor lock; not all rooms were in the same building; kiddie pools were in a different building than we were in...cool breeze when you are wet and tracking outside to get back to your room and no one tells you of the exceptionally high security deposit until you're there to check in. Would not return. I was placed on the first floor of the access road to the beach. Was not very inviting to sit out on the balcony for a beach view wit cars parked in front of me or people walking by. Did not feel safe as a single female. ...read more

Overall the experience was great. I would definitely stay there again!
